Countdown to CONSTRUCT 2012

I'm ramping up for CONSTRUCT, CSI's annual convention and trade show, which starts Tuesday in Phoenix. It's a gathering of my tribe - we communicate in our shared language, wear special regalia, and participate in traditions that seem obscure to outsiders. Many of the folks who dedicate some or all of their careers to the technical and communications sides of architecture, engineering, design and construction will be there.

I'm looking forward to the camaraderie, but I plan on learning and making connections, too. I'll attend sessions on how to do my job better, sessions on how to run my business better, and sessions that will help me do a better job in my volunteer capacities with CSI. I'll learn about products I've never seen, and also how to better use products I know. I'll meet experts in my field and experts in their fields. And I'll be inspired by the work of others who'll be honored at awards ceremonies Friday.

You can follow my travels on Twitter - my tweeps and I will use #CONSTRUCT to share general show information, news, and tweetable quotes. We'll also use the session codes for our education sessions as hashtags to live-tweet the sessions. So, if there's a topic you're interested in but can't attend, use the hashtag to ask a question or catch some snippets. I'm pretty sure Twitter will be the best way to find me!
